Cutting, Coring & Scanning
Concrete & asphalt sawing, coring, GPR scanning, trench cutting and removal, plus related installations.
Service Scope
- Concrete and asphalt floor sawing; concrete wall sawing
- Green cutting and control joints
- Concrete trench cutting and removal for mechanical, electrical and plumbing routes
- Concrete coring for service openings, including extended-depth applications
- GPR scanning to help identify reinforcement and embedded services before cutting or drilling
- Rock and concrete drilling, rebar anchoring and anchor installation
- Protective bollard installation
- Egress window and door openings, including cutting, removal and installation
Reliable Field Execution
Scanning, cutting and drilling are coordinated around the planned opening and agreed scope. Each project is assessed for material type, thickness, reinforcement, access, surrounding services and dust or slurry control. GPR scanning supports the review of embedded features before planned cutting or drilling.
Floor sawing creates controlled cuts in concrete slabs and asphalt. Wall sawing supports vertical concrete openings. Concrete trench work combines edge cutting with material removal to create service routes. Independent electricity and water supply are available where these are unavailable on site.
Serving Alberta & Ontario
ATS-SCG serves Alberta, including Calgary, and Ontario, including Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Ontario projects within approximately 200 km of Toronto are considered based on scope, access, scheduling and mobilization. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is concrete GPR scanning used for?
GPR helps identify embedded features before cutting, coring or anchoring. Results depend on material, depth, reinforcement and access; scanning cannot guarantee detection of every feature.
Can you core through heavily reinforced concrete?
We assess reinforcement, diameter, depth and access before quoting. Any structural or post-tensioned elements require the project team’s direction before work proceeds.
What determines the price of cutting or coring?
Price depends on dimensions, thickness, reinforcement, quantity, access, scanning requirements, slurry control and mobilization. Send drawings or marked photos for a project-specific quote.
Can you help with indoor trench cuts?
Indoor scopes are assessed for power, water, access, slurry collection, ventilation requirements and surrounding operations before equipment and methods are confirmed.
